Ingushetia resident receives by mail three guns from Thailand

NAZRAN. July 22 (Interfax) - A resident of the Ekazhevo settlement of Ingushetia's Nazran region received a package from Thailand, which contained several metal pots and three guns, a source with the Ingush law enforcement authorities told Interfax on Monday.

"A resident of the Ekazhevo settlement has just filed a statement with the Nazran Internal Affairs Division that after receiving a notification from post office on a parcel he did not order and after opening it, he found several pans and three guns that were produced abroad," the source said.

The parcel was seized and the incident is being investigated, the source said. It has been determined that the guns can be used to shoot ball cartridges.
