Bodies of two Britons killed by helicopter blades still in Russia

MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax) - The dead bodies of two UK citizens, who were killed in a helicopter accident outside the Russian city of Murmansk on July 21, have not yet been transported back to the territory of the United Kingdom, a spokesman for the UK Embassy in Russia told Interfax on Tuesday.

Since the accident happened in quite a remote area, certain difficulties have emerged, he said.

The embassy's consular department is keeping in touch with the local and regional authorities regarding this issue, he said.

The spokesman expressed hope that the problem would be sorted out as soon as possible.

Two Britons on a luxury fishing trip in Russia and their Russian interpreter were killed when a helicopter they had disembarked from tipped on to its side, hitting them with its rotor blades near Murmansk on July 21.
