Medvedev approves nine regional programs to assist return of Russians living abroad

MOSCOW. July 24 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved regional programs of the Altai territory, Tambov, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Smolensk, Saratov, Irkutsk and Kaluga regions to assist the voluntary return of Russians living abroad.

The documents have been prepared under the Russian president's order of September 14, 2012 On Implementing the State Program to Assist the Voluntary Return of Russians Living Abroad to Russia, the Russian government press office said in a statement obtained by Interfax.

Fulfilling the order will make it possible to meet the needs of Russian regional economies for labor resources, which will contribute to the socio-economic growth of the regions.
