Matthias Warnig re-elected as Transneft board chairman

MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - Matthias Warnig, managing director of Nord Stream AG, was re-elected as chairman of the board of directors at Transneft by unanimous vote on July 25, the oil pipeline monopoly said in a statement.

Warnig has been chairman of the Transneft board since July 2011, when he succeeded then-Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko.

The current makeup of the board is: Warnig, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MDM Bank Oleg Vyugin (independent director), First Vice President of Gazprombank Mikhail Grishankov, Professor at St. Petersburg State University's Strategic and International Management Department Valery Katkalo (independent director), First Vice President of OJSC Russian Railways (RZD) Alexander Misharin, Transneft President Nikolai Tokarev, and Shmatko, now a member of the Russian Presidential Commission for the Development Strategy of the Fuel and Energy Complex and Environmental Safety (independent director).
