Putin not planning visit to Iran for now - Peskov

NOVO-OGARYOVO. July 26 (Interfax) - The visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Iran is not being planned at the moment and there is no strict timeframe, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Not yet. Visits and contacts are planned but for now there is no timeframe approved for a visit," Peskov said when asked whether Putin intended to visit Iran in the near future.

Teheran did not confirm earlier Friday reports on Putin's visit to Iran.

Kommersant newspaper reported citing unnamed sources close to the Iranian Foreign Ministry that Putin's visit to Teheran was scheduled for August 12-13.
