Magomed Bilalov may be declared wanted - Interior Ministry
MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - Magomed Bilalov, a former co-owner of the construction company Krasnaya Polyana, which is building a number of major facilities for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, may be put on the federal and international wanted lists if his claims of a serious disease preventing him from coming to Russia for questioning prove untrue, the Interior Ministry told Interfax.
"The Interior Ministry Investigations Department has drawn up an inquiry for international legal assistance, which will be forwarded to competent British agencies through the [Russian] Prosecutor General's Office," it said.
Bilalov earlier filed an official petition that he be questioned at the Russian embassy in London as he was undergoing medical treatment in the United Kingdom.
