Russian Auction House to sell up to 30 bln rubles in assets in 2013
ST. PETERSBURG. July 30 (Interfax) - The Russian Auction House plans to sell 25 billion to 30 billion roubles worth of assets in 2013, general director Andrei Stepanenko told reporters on Monday.
"We have sold assets worth 13 billion roubles since the beginning of the year, and in 2013 we expect to sell 25 billion-30 billion roubles worth," Stepanenko said. He did not say what amount of assets was sold in 2012.
The main assets that the Auction House plans to sell will be a 13% stake in the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ), a stake in the Murmansk Shipping Company for 800 million roubles, and a number of stakes in other shipping companies, Stepanenko said. The auction for the UAZ stake is scheduled for August 8.
There are also plans to sell 8.8 hectares of land in Moscow that belongs to Almaz-Antei, as well as land parcels outside St. Petersburg, Spargolovo and Yanino.
"We also really hope to sell the Talion palace by the end of the year," Stepanenko said.
It was reported earlier that this month the Auction House again pushed back the auction for the Talion complex in the centre of St. Petersburg to September 30 from July 18. A spokesman for the company attributed the delay to ongoing negotiations on a deal between interested parties. The auction was initially planned for June 3, but was then postponed until July 18.
It was also reported that the Auction House plans to sell Talion in a Dutch auction, where the price is lowered until a buyer steps forward. The starting price will be 12 billion roubles and the minimum sales price will be 9.5 billion roubles. The property is being sold on the instructions of the private owner.
The complex includes a building on Nevsky Prospekt built in 1768-1771, a building on the Moika embankment built in 1794-1796 and part of a building on Bolshaya Morskaya street built in 1814-1817. The 24,300-square-meter complex now includes the Talion Imperial hotel, a business center, shopping and entertainment venues, restaurants, a fitness centre and other facilities.
The principal owner of the Talion complex is businessman Alexander Yebralidze, according to the SPARK-Interfax database.
