Armenian cognac production up 1% in H1

YEREVAN. July 31 (Interfax) - There was 8.129 million liters of cognac produced in Armenia in the first half of 2013, 1% more year-on-year, the country's National Statistics Service reported.

Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States generally were the main cognac sales markets.

The production of wine increased 20.7% year-on-year to 2.425 million liters in H1, of champagnes 3.1-fold to 116,900 liters, and of vodka and other liquors 5.1% to 4.249 million liters. Beer output was down 2.4% at 6.375 million liters.
