Israeli recognition of Palestinian state vital for negotiations - Palestinian ambassador
MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - The Israeli recognition of the State of Palestine with its capital city in East Jerusalem is vital for the success of the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Fayed Mustafa told Interfax.
"We are exerting the utmost effort to ensure that these negotiations are successful. Yet their success depends on the steps taken by Israel and their recognition of our right to establish a state within the 1967 borders with the capital in East Jerusalem," Mustafa said.
He also said Israel should release all Palestinian prisoners from its prisons.
