Putin: Russia, Tajikistan have same positions on Afghan issues
NOVO-OGARYOVO. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Russia and Tajikistan think similarly about the situation created by the coalition pullout from Afghanistan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"For instance, I would like to note the similarity of our attitudes toward the situation in Afghanistan, including the upcoming withdrawal of coalition forces in 2014," Putin said after his negotiations with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
The sides agreed to intensify their struggle against terrorism, the drug threat and cross-border crime, he said.
