Kazakhstan Kagazy board of directors gets new chair
ALMATY. Aug 2 (Interfax) - Tony Baldry has been elected the new chairman of the board of directors of Kazakhstan Kagazy Plc, the company said in a press release.
Baldry succeeds John Khabbaz, who has chosen to step down as chairman.
Baldry has been a UK member of parliament for 30 years and also served as minister of state for eight years in the governments of both John Major and Margaret Thatcher.
"In a further move to strengthen the Kazakhstan Kagazy board, the company also announced the appointment of Sarosh Zaiwalla as a non-executive director to the company. Sarosh Zaiwalla is senior partner at leading London law firm, Zaiwalla & Co and is an internationally recognized arbitrator," the press release said.
Kazakhstan Kagazy is the parent company of Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC, which owns Kagazy Recycling Ltd. (a manufacturer of paper and cardboard) and Prime Estate Activities Kazakhstan (logistics business).
