Bomb scare in Moscow metro turns out to be false alarm

MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The police did not find any bombs in the underground passes near the Moscow metro station Vykhino in southeastern Moscow, which means that the bomb scare, that followed an anonymous report of a bomb, is a false alarm.

"The underground pass has been examined, but the information on the threat of an explosion was not confirmed," an official with the Interior Ministry's Main Department for Moscow said.

The police are now looking for the person who called the police, reporting that there was a bomb in the underground pass.

The press service for the Interior Ministry's Main Department for Moscow earlier told Interfax the Moscow police had received a report saying that there was a bomb in the underground pass near the metro station Vykhino.
