Russian oil exports to non-CIS down 2.9% in H1 - customs
MOSCOW. Aug 6 (Interfax) - Russia exported 2.9% less oil to countries outside of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in January-June 2013 than it did in the same six months of 2012, at 101.243 million tonnes, the Russian Federal Customs Service (FCS) reported.
Fuel and energy served as the basis of Russian exports to the non-CIS, accounting for 74.9% of the total in January-June 2013, compared to 73.4% in the same six months of 2012.
Overall fuel and energy exports to the non-CIS were about the same as a year earlier by value. In natural terms, exports were up 17% for gasoline, up 28.3% for diesel fuel, up 11.6% for natural gas and up 10.6% for liquid fuels.
Fuel and energy accounted for 47.4% of total exports to the CIS in January-June 2013, compared to 57.0% in January-June 2012. In natural terms, exports of petroleum products fell 44.2%, including a 65.7% drop in diesel fuel exports, a 27.8% fall in liquid fuel exports, and a 20.9% decline in natural gas exports. At the same time, exports of crude oil edged up 0.4%, gasoline exports rose 62.5% and kerosene exports jumped 140%.
Overall Russian oil exports reached 115.751 million tonnes in January-June 2013.
According to the FCS, Russia exported 92.9 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas overall in the first six months of this year, compared to 92.8 bcm in the same period last year.
