Flood poses no threat to Zeisk Hydroelectric Power Plant - Rostekhnadzor
BLAGOVESHCHENSK. Aug 7 (Interfax) - The Zeisk Hydroelectric Power Plant is safe, a Rostekhnadzor official told a government commission meeting in Blagoveshchensk.
"The Zeisk Hydroelectric Power Plant is under our constant supervision. There is no threat to the body of the dam," he said.
Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov asked him: "Do I understand correctly that there are no technical and technological programs at the plant?"
The Rostekhnadzor official said that "all equipment is working normally."
According to earlier reports, the flood situation aggravated in the Amur region due to lengthy rains and the dumping of water from the Zeisk Hydroelectric Power Plant, which have affected dozens of populated areas.
