Date of Putin's visit to Turkmenistan not yet agreed upon
MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin plans to pay a visit to Turkmenistan, but the date has not yet been agreed upon.
"Concerning Turkmenistan, Putin's visit is on the agenda," Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said at a press briefing in Moscow.
He said the provisional protocol parameters for the visit are being negotiated.
The Kremlin press service earlier reported that Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow invited Putin by telephone on June 10 to pay a visit to Turkmenistan.
It was announced after the call that the date of the visit would be agreed upon through diplomatic channels.
