Moscow City Hall has not received opposition's rally request so far

MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - The Moscow authorities are ready to consider the opposition's request to hold a large-scale rally in the city on September 6.

"If such an application arrives, we will consider it," City Hall regional security department head Alexei Mayorov told Interfax on Tuesday.

So far, opposition members have not officially notified the Moscow administration of their plans to stage such a rally, Mayorov said.

"As long as this application is absent, we have nothing to discuss," he said.

Solidarity opposition movement member Sergei Davidis told Interfax on Tuesday that the Russian opposition was going to stage a large-scale rally in Moscow on September 6.
