MTS boosts revenue 7% in Q2, net profit down 13%

MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) had 71.8 billion rubles in revenue in the second quarter of 2013 under Russian accounting standards, 7% more than in the same period last year, the company said in its financial report.

Net profit declined 12.6% in the quarter to 24.6 billion rubles, down from 28.16 billion rubles.

Revenue in the entire first half of the year rose 6% to 138 billion rubles, up from 130.4 billion rubles, and the net profit was 32 billion rubles, up from 29 billion rubles in the first six months last year.
