Russian citizens advised to drop visits to Cairo, other big cities in Egypt - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry reports the absence of Russians among victims of unrest in Egypt and advises Russian citizens not to leave resorts towns and drop visits to Cairo and other big cities in the context of the current developments.

"According to the Russian embassy in Cairo, there are no Russian citizens among the victims in Egypt," a Wednesday evening commentary of the Foreign Ministry information and press department received by Interfax says.

"The Russian Foreign Ministry advises Russian citizens staying in Egypt to avoid areas of massive protests and those who traveled to the country for tourist purposes to take the developments into account and refrain from trips beyond holiday zones, excluding visits to Cairo and other big cities," the commentary says.
