Russian oil export duty to rise $20.9 to $400.7/tonne September 1

MOSCOW. August 15 (Interfax) - The export duty on Russian oil will rise by $20.9 to $400.7/tonne on September 1, from $379.8/tonne at present, according to Interfax calculations based on Russian Finance Ministry data.

Finance Ministry expert Alexander Sakovich told Interfax that the average price of monitoring in the period from July 15 to August 14 was $109.83196/barrel or $801.8/tonne, so the government is likely to set a duty of $400.7/tonne.

The discounted duty on oil from East Siberia, Caspian fields and the Prirazlomnoye field will be $196.6/tonne on September 1, compared to the current rate of $180.8/tonne.

The duty on superviscous oil will edge up to $40/tonne as of September 1, from the $37.9/tonne that went into effect on August 1.

The duty on light and dark petroleum products, which was unified at 66% of the duty on crude oil, will increase to $264.4/tonne on September 1 this year, from $250.6/tonne in August.

The duty on gasoline exports, based on a coefficient of 0.9, will rise to $360.6/tonne as of September 1, from $341.8/tonne in August.

The duty on liquefied gas will increase to $75.5/tonne on September 1, from $40.5/tonne in August.

Beginning in April, the new duties on crude oil and refined product are published monthly on the Economic Development Ministry's website and not affirmed in a government resolution, as was the case previously.
