Rostourism officials go to Egypt to clarify situation with Russian tourists
MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Officials from the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) will go to Egyptian resorts to establish communication with Russian tour firms, Yevgeny Pisarevsky, deputy head of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism, said.
"One person is flying today. A decision concerning the number of Rostourism officials whose task will be to contact representatives of tour operators, local authorities, and law enforcement agencies will be made tomorrow or the day after tomorrow," Pisarevsky told reporters on Thursday after a meeting held in Rostourism to discuss the situation in Egypt.
Rostourism officials will keep the Moscow office informed on the real situation and make complete and detailed lists of the Russian tourists who are now in Egypt, also to be made available for the Emergency Situations Ministry and other relevant authorities, he said.
