Sales of tours to Egypt stopped - ATOR
MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The sales of tours to Egypt are stopped due to the relevant recommendations of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm) over the situation escalation in this country, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) said.
The Russian Federal Agency for Tourism has previously recommended Russian tour operators and agents to suspend promotion and sales of tourist products and separate tourist services in Egypt until the situation in the country improved.
"Rosturizm's letter means that sales of tours to Egypt are stopped from the moment it is published, so from late Thursday [August 15]. Tourism business will follow the recommendations of Rosturizm," ATOR Executive Director Maya Lomidze said at a news conference on Friday.
