Gazprom Neft buys bunker company in Estonia
MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker, which operates Gazprom Neft's bunker business, has purchased Estonian bunker company AS Baltic Marine Bunker from AS NT Marine, Gazprom Neft reported.
AS Baltic Marine Bunker owns a refueling ship with total deadweight of 2,786 tonnes designed to bunker both dark and light types of ship fuel.
Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker plans to annually sell at least 270,000 tonnes of ship fuel at the Port of Tallinn. It also intends to expand its presence on the market by developing cooperation with ship-owners and raising the quality of ship maintenance.
On the Baltic bunker market, Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker sells low-sulfur ship fuel. The company has all the necessary licenses, as well as handling and storage contracts at the terminal.
This is Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker's second overseas asset. It acquired Romanian company Marine Bunker Balkan S.A, which operates at the Black Sea Port of Constanta, from Unicom Holding at the beginning of the year.
