Thirty migrants living, working in factory detained in Moscow region

MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - Moscow region police have detained thirty migrants living and working in a shop producing sweets, vacuum-packed fish products and plastic bags, the press office of the Russian Interior Ministry's Main Department for the Moscow region told Interfax.

"Police have checked the territory of an agricultural complex in the city district of Dzerzhinsky. Following the check, they have found a shop, where sweets, poly bags and fish preserves [vacuum-packed but not sterilized] were produced," the press office said.

Foreign citizens were working in the shop and also lived there. Thirty migrants have been detained and brought to the Federal Migration Service Department for the Moscow region to check the legitimacy of their stay in Russia.

A criminal case under the Russian Criminal Code Article 322, illegal crossing of the Russian border, has been opened.
