Dnepr carrier puts S. Korean satellite in orbit
YASNY LAUNCH BASE, Orenburg region. August 22 (Interfax-AVN) - A Dnepr rocket carrier that took off from the Yasny launch base of the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces (RVSN) in the Orenburg region on Thursday has successfully placed in orbit a South Korean Earth remote sensing satellite, an RVSN spokesman told Interfax-AVN.
"The satellite successfully detached from the third stage of the rocket carrier at 7.55 p.m. Moscow time," the spokesman said.
