Sukhoi, Rosoboronexport ink deal for VIP-version SSJ-100

ZHUKOVSKY. Aug 27 (Interfax) - OJSC Rosoboronexport and CJSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft have signed an agreement for a Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) rigged out in the VIP version in the context of the MAKS-2013 international air and space exhibition.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was on hand for the signing.

A joint press release the companies issued says Rosoboronexport will take possession of this aircraft before year-end and will be using it with the aim of serving Russia's military-technical cooperation with other states.

The SSJ-100 VIP is the first of its type built on the SSJ-100 platform. Sukhoi says the necessary level of comfort comparable to large-dimension airliners for business flying is provided with optimal fuselage sectioning. This aircraft was built for up to nineteen passengers and is divided into service, business, and work zones.
