CBR pushes bicurrency corridor up 5 kopecks
MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has moved the bounds of the bicurrency corridor up 5 kopecks to 32.10-39.10 rubles, the CBR website says.
This was the fifth boost this month. At end-July the corridor was 31.85-38.85 rubles. It was raised by 5 kopecks on August 7, 12, 14, and 21. The CBR pushed the corridor up by 5 kopecks three times in July.
Accumulated interventions leading to these moves amounted to $450 million, according to the CBR.
