Ukraine should sign agreement with EU, keep friendly ties with Russia - Rada speaker

DONETSK. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada speaker Volodymyr Rybak has said that while signing the Association Agreement with the European Union Ukraine should do it utmost to keep friendly relations with the Russian Federation.

"We will sign the Association Agreement but we must do everything to live in friendship with our neighbor, with a brotherly nation, to keep our market," he said talking to the residents of Donetsk on Sunday.

"We have no right to permit arguing with our neighbor, a fraternal nation. Therefore we will be holding talks round-the-clock for days," Rybak said.

Ukraine "is the biggest country in Europe and we should do everything to both introduce European standards and keeping the market in Russia," Rybak said. "Because if we feel like breaking up with Russia, then tomorrow we won't have jobs," he added.
