Police officer, two civilians wounded in skirmish in Ingushetia

NAZRAN. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Three people were wounded in a skirmish in Ingushetia on Sunday, when Ingushetia head Yunus-Bek Yevkurov's motorcade was traveling past the village of Surkhakhi in the Nazran district.

"Yevkurov's security guard was compelled to fire shots in reaction to a man's inadequate and aggressive conduct after his car with tinted windows was stopped," Yevkurov's press secretary, Irina Kuksenkova, told Interfax.

A security guard and two local residents were wounded in the shooting.

"A police officer and two local residents were wounded in the legs. Their lives are not in danger. All of them were given medical attention and were hospitalized," Kuksenkova said.
