SOCAR oil exports through port at Supsa down 0.9% in Jan-Aug

BAKU. Sept 3 (Interfax) - State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) exported 1,837,758 tonnes of Azerbaijani oil through the Baku-Supsa pipeline and further from the port at Supsa in January-August 2013, which was 0.9% less year-on-year, SOCAR sources told Interfax.

There was 315,388 tonnes of Azerbaijani oil shipped from the port in August alone.

The Baku-Supsa pipeline, capacity 7.5 million tonnes of oil per year, was built to transport oil for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) project and was commissioned in April 1999. It is 837 km long and 530 mm in diameter.
