Force can only be used in Syria with UN Security Council - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

NEW YORK (UN). Sept 4 (Interfax) - The use of force in Syria can only be legal in the event of self-defense or with the sanction of the UN Security Council, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told a press conference on Tuesday.

Ban Ki-moon said that, if chemical weapons were indeed used in Syria, the UN Security Council should work together and take appropriate measures.
