Russian embassy in Damascus not damaged by mortar fire

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The Russian Embassy to Damascus was not damaged by mortar fire upon the district where it is located, an embassy employee told Interfax.

"We didn't have anything, either nearby or on our territory," the employee said.

Media reported earlier that the Damascus district where the Russian embassy is located was fired upon with mortars.
