Georgia hasn't formulated position on Eurasian Union - PM

TBILISI. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili has been closely following the situation surrounding the Eurasian Union, but Georgia's position on it has not been formulated yet.

"I have been closely following the processes going on in the Eurasian Union, but we have not worked out a position on it yet," Ivanishvili said at a press conference on Wednesday.

On Syria, he said 150,000 people have been killed in the fighting in that country - a situation that must be stopped.

"We strongly trust our partner, the United States, which has done an analysis of the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian authorities. I think the Congress will support President Obama's decision on further moves regarding Syria," the Georgian prime minister said.
