Leaders of Russia, China will discuss bilateral cooperation, key intl issues on sidelines of G20 summit

MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin is expected to have a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the sidelines of the G20 summit on September 5.

"We are speaking of one more full-scale meeting between our leaders. Naturally both bilateral and international issues will be discussed," Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said at a Moscow briefing earlier.

He said that the meeting will involve the signing of several bilateral documents, including some concerning Rosneft .

"There is a small package of several agreements. Most of them are at the stage of approval. Experts are working on them but it has been decided to hold the signing ceremony after the meeting," Ushakov said.

The meeting is also expected to discuss pressing issues of advancing bilateral relations and the implementation of understandings that were reached during the official visit of the Chinese leader to Russia on March 22-24 of this year, to exchange opinions on regional and international problems, the presidential aide said.

"Relations between Russia and China have the nature of a comprehensive strategic partnership with a high degree of confidence. They are an example of the harmonious coexistence of great powers playing a crucial stabilizing role in the present world order," he added.
