Yevkurov takes oath as head of Ingushetia

MAGAS. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Yunus-Bek Yevkurov elected the head of Ingushetia on Sunday took an oath and came into office the same day.

After the voting in the National Assembly of Ingushetia he addressed members of the assembly and Russian Vice Premier - presidential envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District Alexander Khloponin asking permission for conducting the inauguration the same day to save time and money.

"I know that I am given 14 days to conduct the inauguration and take the oath but with the purpose of speedily completing the process of forming the republic's government and other governing bodies I would want to do that today which will help save funds and get down to work immediately," Yevkurov said.

Members of the National Assembly supported the idea and after a short interval Yevkurov took his oath and came into office as the head of Ingushetia.
