70 Russians, CIS citizens evacuated from Syria

MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - An aircraft of the Russian Emergeny Siutations Ministry has evacuated 70 Russian and CIS citizens from Syria, Russian Emergeny Siutations Ministry press secretary Irina Rossius said.

"An Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft on flight from Latakia landed at the Domodedovo airport at 11.15 p.m. Moscow time. Seventy people including 28 women and 20 children wwere aboard the plane," Rossius said.

There were 52 citiznes of Russia, eight of Ukraine, five of Belarus, three of Uzbekistan, as well as two Syrians, the spouses of Russian cititzens, aboard the plane, she said.
