Roizman wins Yekaterinburg mayoral election by 3.63% - tentative data
YEKATERINBURG. Sept 9 (Interfax) - City without Drugs Foundation President, Civil Platform candidate Yevgeny Roizman is leading in the Yekaterinburg mayoral election with 30.11% of the vote. One hundred percent of the vote has been counted, city elections commission chairman Ilya Zakharov told Interfax.
Sverdlovsk Region Vice-Governor, United Russia candidate Yakov Silin goes second with 26.48% of the vote.
"The gap is about 14,000 votes. Yet this information is tentative, as the commission has received only one final report," Zakharov said.
Also, district commissions reported serious violations and election results might be cancelled at particular polling stations. "But it would be premature to panic," Zakharov added.
A Just Russia's deputy of the State Duma, Alexander Burkov, has 18% and ranks third, he said.
