China to take part in building oil refinery in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan and China have agreed on building an oil refinery on Kazakh territory, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

"During this visit [Chinese President Xi Jinping's ongoing visit to Kazakhstan], 22 contracts worth in aggregate about $30 billion will be signed, among them major ones, which includes and oil and gas complex. We have agreed on building the next oil processing plant, we need this," Nazarbayev said at a press conference summing up his talks with Xi in Astana on Saturday.
