Sobyanin wins with 51.37%, Navalny gains 27.24% - Moscow city elections commission
MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Acting Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has won the city mayoral election with 51.37% of the vote. The turnout stood at 32.07%, the Moscow city elections commission said.
"Sergei Sobyanin ranked first in the vote (51.37%), Alexei Navalny was second (27.24%), Ivan Melnikov was third (10.69%), Sergei Mitrokhin was fourth (3.51%), Mikhail Degtyaryov was fifth (2.86%) and Nikolai Levichev was sixth (2.79%)," Moscow city elections commission head Valentin Gorbunov said on Monday summing up the election results.
