Russian diplomat shot and killed in Abkhazia
SUKHUMI. Sept 9 (Interfax) - First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Abkhazia Dmitry Vishernev was shot and killed in Sukhumi on Monday morning.
The Russian diplomat was killed at 8:30 a.m. in the Stary residential area in the Abkhaz capital, where he temporarily resided, a local police spokesman told Interfax.
An unidentified man approached him when he drove out of the garage and shot him at point-blank range. Investigators are working at the scene.
