SCO may elaborate consolidated position on Syria - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Syria will be on the agenda of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Bishkek summit on September 13, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov told a press briefing on Monday.

"Syria will be on the agenda," he said.

"SCO member countries have very similar positions on this subject. All of us consider a foreign military campaign unauthorized by the UN Security Council to constitute a violation of international law," the diplomat said.

"I believe that the final Bishkek declaration will present a consolidated position of SCO member countries regarding this matter," Morgulov said.
