Gaz plans to sell as many buses as in 2012

MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - GAZ Group plans to keep bus sales at the same level as 2012 in 2013, at nearly 14,000, LLC Russian Buses - GAZ Group Sales Director Vasily Polyushkevich told the press at the COMTRANS-13 auto event. He said 11,500 buses would be sold on the domestic market in 2013. The market share will remain at 71%, he said.

Polyushkevich said the group plans to start obtaining orders for buses for the 2018 World Cup championship. "We are working towards this and plan for our share [in bus supplies for the World Cup] to be no lower than 70%."

The sales director said 739 buses were provided for the Olympics in Sochi. In addition, the company has sold 565 buses in Moscow in 2013, 87 in St. Petersburg and 86 in Moscow region. Buses have also been sold to Belgorod region, Ingushetia and other Russian regions.
