Syria willing to join Chemical Weapons Convention - foreign minister

MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) - Damascus is willing to join the Chemical Weapons Convention, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mualem said.

Syria wants to join the Convention on the prohibition of chemical weapons and is willing to comply with its obligations in line with this Convention, including the provision of information on these weapons, al-Mualem said in a statement he made after departing from Moscow on Tuesday.
