Putin appoints Simonenko chief of presidential expert directorate
MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Vladimir Simonenko head of the presidential expert directorate, the Kremlin press service reported on Wednesday.
It was reported on Tuesday that Putin relieved previous expert directorate chief, Ksenia Yudayeva, of her duties.
Yudayeva is expected to be transferred to the Central Bank, which has been headed since June by Elvira Nabiullina, Yudayeva's former colleague at the presidential secretariat. Yudayeva will reportedly be in charge of the Central Bank's financing and monetary policy. Analysts explain the delay of Yudayeva's transfer to the Central Bank by the fact that she has served as the Russian sherpa at the G20 until lately and could not leave this job before the G20 summit was held in St. Petersburg last week.
