National Bank of Belarus to leave refi rate at 23.5%
MINSK. Sept 11 (Interfax) - The National Bank of Belarus (NBB) decided on September 10 to leave its key financing rate at 23.5% pa this month, the bank told Interfax.
"Preserving a firm rate policy will help maintain stability in the domestic forex market and high yields on ruble deposits, exceeding those on foreign currency deposits, which should encourage an inflow of ruble savings to banks," the NBB representative said.
The NBB left the refi rate on hold in July and August also.
