Lawyer claims Kogan already paid 20% for Uralkali stake

MOSCOW. Sept 16 (Interfax) - Former banker Vladimir Kogan has already paid Suleyman Kerimov up to 20% of the price for the latter's stake in Russian potash giant Uralkali , the head of law firm Alexander Dobrovinsky & Partners, Alexander Dobrovinsky said on his Facebook page.

Dobrovinsky said the deal will be closed in the next two or three weeks, and Uralkali chief executive Vladislav Baumgertner, who was arrested in Belarus in late August, "will be released from the detention center within the same period" and will retain his former post.

Uralkali is not commenting on the actions of shareholders.
