State of emergency lifted on Amur region, Jewish Autonomous District

KHABAROVSK. Sept 17 (Interfax) - The state of emergency, declared in two regions of Russia's Far East due to flooding, has been lifted, said Deputy Prime Minister and Kremlin envoy to the Far East Yury Trutnev.

"The emergency situations minister made the decision to lift the state of emergency regime on the Amur region and the Jewish Autonomous Region today," Trutnev told the media in Khabarovsk on Tuesday after a government commission's meeting on cleanup measures.

A state of emergency was declared in the Amur region on July 24, and in a few localities of the region days earlier. The decision to declare a state of emergency in the Jewish Autonomous Region was made in early August.
