Putin, Lukashenko don't plan separate meeting at CSTO summit but may speak one-on-one - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Sept 20 (Interfax) - A separate meeting of the Russian and Belarusian presidents at the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit in Sochi on Monday has not been planned but they may discuss their concerns at a small-format meeting of CSTO leaders, the Kremlin said.

"A bilateral meeting [of Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko] in Sochi has not been scheduled for now, but the leaders will meet in a narrow format. There may be contacts during a protocol event as well," Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov replied to an Interfax question.

"There have been no plans as of yet to arrange separate bilateral contacts between the presidents of Russia and Belarus," he repeated.

In the words of Ushakov, the CSTO summit will have several parts, including negotiations in narrow and broader formats and a reception for the chiefs of state.
