Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk looking to start gas production in Sverdlovsk Region in 2014
SALEKHARD. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk LLC plans to begin extracting gas at the Bukharovskoye deposit in Sverdlovsk Region next year, the company's General Director Konstantin Stepovoi told Interfax.
"All documents have been received from Gazprom now. The best option for realizing the project has been confirmed. I can say with a large degree of certainty that we will receive the first gas from the Bukharovskoye deposit next year," Stepovoi said on the sidelines of the third international 'Arctic - Territory of Dialogue' forum.
Project financing will most likely begin this year and will consume about eight months, he said. Annual production from the deposit will be around 60 million cubic meters of gas.
"The volumes for us are not large, but the main thing is that this is the resolution of two complicated tasks we faced," Stepovoi said. The first is the preparation of gas containing hydrogen sulphide. This will be locally in Russia for the first time. The second is implementing a project with project financing and not from the company's coffers. Stepovoi did not identify what investors are putting money into the project.
Gas produced at the Bukharovskoye deposit will be delivered to Uralsevergaz, which sells gas in the region, he said. "We have a signed preliminary agreement with Uralsevergaz. They are prepared to accept all the gas we will be extracting from the Bukharovskoye deposit," he said.
