Atomenergoprom to acquire stakes in industry cos for new shares

MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - The board of directors of Atomenergoprom (AEP), the civilian division of state nuclear corporation Rosatom, has approved plans for the company to acquire equity stakes in a number of industry companies in exchange for new shares AEP is issuing to Rosatom, the company said in a statement.

AEP will acquire 9.6 million shares in OJSC OKB Gidropress (Moscow Region) worth 18.8 million rubles; 320.96 million shares in OJSC Giredmet (Moscow) worth 385.152 million rubles; 1,019,285,091 shares in OJSC GNTs NIIAR (Ulyanovsk Region) worth 1.019 billion rubles; 174 million shares in OJSC NIITFA (Moscow) worth 174 million rubles; 174.9 million shares in OJSC OZTM & TS (Moscow) worth 174.9 million rubles; 799.831 million shares in OJSC SKhK (Tomsk) worth 1.415 billion rubles; 44,175 shares in OJSC MSZ (Moscow Region) worth 712.1 million rubles; 60.884 million shares on OJSC NIKIET (Moscow) worth 152.2 million rubles; 7,725 shares in OJSC Krasnaya Zvezda (Moscow) worth 30.9 million rubles; and 20,000 shares in OJSC NIIgrafit (Moscow) worth 40 million rubles.

The board also approved deals related to the acquisition of these shares through the conclusion of an additional agreement to an April 15, 2013 contract between AEP and Rosatom on the sale of 4,123,066 new AEP shares worth 4.123 billion rubles.

AEP receives funding from the state budget annually through new share issues in order to finance a number of special programs, particularly construction of new nuclear power plants in Russia.
