Monopolies, state cos to give small business at least 15% of orders - Medvedev

SOCHI. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Infrastructure monopolies and government-related companies ought to be placing at least 15% of their annual orders with small businesses, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the Sochi Investment Forum.

"The system of state procurements for small businesses will become more open. From January 2014, at least 15% of an annual order must be placed with small businesses or socially oriented non-profit organizations," he said.

"Similar approaches must be set for procurements by infrastructure monopolies and companies where state ownership prevails," he said.
